Reading progress, sessions, notes, and insights kept on device.
Data handling
- Books, progress, reading sessions, notes, goals, and insights are stored locally.
- The app and widget share only the current-reading snapshot through the BookTrace App Group.
- Optional book cover images stay on your device.
- Purchases are handled by Apple through StoreKit.
- BookTrace does not use accounts or upload books, notes, cover images, or reading history to Bubu Studio or advertising providers.
- For free adult users, the app may use Google AdMob and the Google User Messaging Platform to request and display ads. Google may process IP address, approximate location, device or app identifiers, diagnostics, performance data, advertising data, and ad interactions for advertising, analytics, consent management, security, and fraud prevention. Ads are disabled for Pro users, children, users whose age or purchase entitlement is unresolved, and automated UI tests. The app does not request permission to track activity across other companies’ apps or websites.
